AMPPR’s Mentor Program

Over the past few years interest has been expressed by AMPPR members in an announcer mentoring program. Mentoring is the process by which successful individuals go out of their way to help others establish goals and develop the skills to reach them.
The AMPPR board is excited to present this program, both for coaches who are able to help announcers learn to get better at what they do and for announcers who need help getting there.
AMPPR understands the problems, limitations, and frustrations that many of our music radio announcers face in the industry. We realize that improvement can and must begin with each individual, and we believe that this  vision can best be delivered—by practitioners, for practitioners.
We have assembled a network of experienced and knowledgeable professionals who are volunteering their
time and expertise to work one-on-one with music announcers who desire and deserve guidance in their quest for improvement in their craft.
(ed note: mentoring is referred to as coaching as of February 2000. Please see the AMPPR Coaching Opportunities web page).
