Savannah composer-pianist
Scott McClain has been commissioned by various schools, colleges, and community
groups to write for choirs, theatre, modern dance, jazz band, and radio.
With training and experience in jazz and folk, as well as classical music,
he has developed a unique style that appeals on various levels to a wide
variety of audiences.
The distinguished American
baritone David Arnold has performed with the Metropolitan Opera, New York
City Opera, English National Opera, and Komische Oper Berlin. He has sung
with leading orchestras in Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Atlanta, New
York, and St. Louis, and in guest appearances at the White House before
Presidents Carter and Clinton. His recitals and recordings regularly feature
twentieth-century music, including Schoenberg’s “Gurrelieder “with the
Boston Symphony. The recipient of many awards, he is also a distinguished
teacher.
Ilya Gringolts

Already at the age of nineteen,
violinist Ilya Gringolts has established himself as an exciting new artist.
In 1998 he won first prize at the International Paganini Violin Competition
as well as a special prize for the best interpretation of Paganini’s Capriccio.
He was also a prizewinner in the 1995 Yehudi Menuhin International Violin
Competition. He made his North American debut in July 1999 performing with
the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa under the baton of Pinchas
Zukerman.
Born in St. Petersburg, Russia,
in 1982, Ilya Gringolts studied at the St. Petersburg Special Music School
No. 11 with Tatiana Liberova. Most recently he signed an exclusive contract
with Deutsche Grammophon. |
