The Association of Music Personnel in Public Radio (AMPPR) will be offering a total of six (6) Scholarships to MPC44. CPB has provided a grant to AMPPR for five (5) Conference Scholarships. The winners will be based on station need, and to increase participation of minorities, rural, and small stations in the AMPPR Conference. AMPPR will also award the Robert J. Lurtsema Scholarship to a first-time conference attendee. MPC 44 will be held in Houston, Texas February 5-8, 2006. Applications must be received by January 12, 2006. The scholarship winners will receive reimbursement (up to $1000) toward travel and hotel accommodations (4 nights at the InterContinental Houston). Outside meals, entertainment, phone calls, and incidentals will be the responsibility of the scholarship recipient.
