AMPPR
Announcer Workshops
scheduled
for last weekend
in
September
The
first two AMPPR Announcer Workshops have been set for Friday, September
29, and Saturday, September 30. The workshops will be held at WGBH in Boston.
Noted
voice coach Marilyn Pittman will conduct the workshops, which will be intensive
one-day training sessions designed to help announcers of all skill levels
improve both the technical and creative aspects of on-air work.
Participants
will be given the choice of which one of the two days they wish to attend,
subject to availability. Registration is limited to 15 participants per
day. Fees and registration procedures have not yet been set. Details will
be released soon.
Future
workshops will be held in other parts of the country so that everyone who
wishes to participate will have an opportunity to attend.
