Conference
Exhibitor and Sponsor
Opportunities

The success of the music personnel conferences over the past 40 years has come from AMPPR’s ability to reconcile two considerations—agendas are formed to cover issues of importance to people who work with music on the air, and costs are met by the blending of promoters and vendors with both the business and pleasure that is most appealing to those people.

Exhibitors

The Marketplace provides an area for vendors to show their wares. Record companies, program syndicators, artist managers, music publishers, and suppliers of technical equipment and software use this area, usually a centrally located large room, which is set up with tables and accommodates backdrops, to display the latest and greatest they have to offer and to provide resources and information about music and musicians that are helpful to those who program music. The Marketplace is an area for browsing, chatting, and information and product gathering.
In the past few years we have had about 25 exhibitors in the Marketplace each year, and our goal is to meet or exceed that number in future years.
We encourage you to contact record companies, program syndicators, and other suppliers you talk to regularly to consider supporting music personnel conferences by exhibiting in the Marketplace—in Savannah next February and in future conferences.

Sponsorships

If you have been to a music personnel conference, you know that when you leave a thought-provoking session for a break, for lunch, or to get ready for dinner, you will not only be able to fill up on fine food, you will hear fine music as well. The talented people that perform for you sometimes are familiar, sometimes are new and not yet generally recognizable, and often are performing the kind of music you might not usually program, but they are always interesting and exciting to listen to.
Sponsorships exist for people and businesses to help AMPPR cover the costs of the conference by funding these breaks, lunches, dinners, and receptions.
If you as a music person at a station know of a business, or if you are a representative of a business and would like to market your business or yourself, showcase an artist or ensemble, acknowledge AMPPR’s 40th anniversary, or simply say “thank you” to the people who have supported you throughout the year, please contact Beverley Ervine at ervine.1@osu.edu or 614-292-WOSU, ext.4-9792 for information about the remaining sponsorship events and the benefits of exhibiting at the Music Personnel Conference in Savannah, Georgia, February 13-16, 2002. Your support and attendance will contribute significantly to the success of our conference.
